2021–2024 STRATEGIC PLAN

During the last few weeks of my campus job, I was assigned to design the Kent State of Well-Being 2021–2024 Strategic Plan. It was one of the toughest projects I was assigned. It turned out to be my favorite project as well having to learn new skills to complete it.

I had never created a strategic plan or taken a class on how to design one, so I learned as I moved through the project. The client wanted the plan to have a professional design but still engaging with playful details. The outline text is a direct representation of the plan being an outline for the upcoming years. The use of dashed lines pulls from the timeline and how the Kent State of Well-Being is being executed goal by goal, one step at a time. All I received on this project to work with was the body copy. The images I chose from the Kent State image server with the goal to keep this student and campus centered. The graphics used in the 8 Dimensions were found in the Microsoft document given to me. The client requested me to redesign them to fit more with the style I had created for the plan. Additionally, they wanted them to be versatile to be used on the website and any other material they create in the future.
